Aben performs pressure and vacuum testing on a wide variety of applications in industry including pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks and tubes.

Vacuum: Vacuum box testing is commonly used on storage tanks floor plate welds, shell to floor welds and in some cases on seam welds to detect possible leaking areas in accordance with API 650 or similar Standards.

We possess many different vacuum boxes that are available for the inspection of butt or lap welds, corner welds and mini size vacuum boxes for small and difficult areas.

A vacuum is drawn on the box by the use of a venturi and compressed air and at no time are electrical or battery operated vacuum systems used, ensuring that all testing conducted is cold work only.

Vacuum testing is also available on tube to tube seal joints in exchangers and condensors.


Pressure: Pressure testing services is offered in a variety of applications including hydrostatic testing of pipes and vessel, including pnuematic tube testing of tubes in condesors or exchangers.

Pressure tests are conducted in accordance with AS4037, ASME V and similar Standards or we can perform third party witnessing of pressure tests performed by manufacturers.

In addition we can calibrate pressure gauges in accordance with AS1349 up to 10000kPa and / or supply certified gauges if required.
