QUALITY ACCREDITATION

Our Laboratory Quality Management system meets the requirements of ISO17025 and is National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) accredited in Non Destructive Testing and Mechanical Testing.

The Laboratory Quality Management system also meets the requirements of ISO17020 for an Independent Category A Inspection Facility.

We also hold BAE approval and are a registered Australian Defence Force supplier.

TECHNICAL SYSTEM

All work is conducted in accordance with our Technical Procedures and Work Instructions which have been developed in-house and made available to Clients following our issue protocol.

SNT-TC-1A NDT CERTIFICATION

In addition to providing ISO9712 Certified Technicians, we have developed and maintain an ASNT SNT-TC1A Written Practice which allows Training, Examination and Certification of NDT personnel in  many different NDT methods to Level 1, 2 or 3.

This Certification is sometimes called for by Clients (in preference to IO9712) and also requires our Technicians to be examined to work strictly to Company approved in-house procedures.

The ABEN Technical Services Written Practice has been audited by Lloyds Register and found to be compliant with the SNT-TC-1A and ASME requirements.

INDUSTRY COMMITMENT

Staff provide their services and industry commitment through continual representation on numerous committees of Industry Associations, Societies and Institutes, together with leading technology presentations at conferences and seminars.

As regular presenters to Clients and introducing new test methods, systems and certification schemes we allow them to understand new applications and where they could be utilised.
