Aben performs pressure and vacuum testing on a wide variety of applications in industry including pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, valves, tubes and we hold ISO17025 NATA Accreditation in Pressure Testing.
VACUUM TESTING
Vacuum box testing is most commonly performed on storage tanks floor plate welds, shell to floor welds and in some cases on seam welds to detect possible leaking areas in accordance with API 650 or similar Standards.
We possess a variety of vacuum boxes that are available for the inspection of butt or lap welds, corner welds and mini size vacuum boxes for small and difficult areas. We can fabricate specialised vacuum boxes for specific applications as required.
Vacuum testing is also available to be performed on piping, double lined vessels and we maintain specialised equipment on tube to tube seal joints in exchangers and condensers.
HYDROSTATIC TESTING
Hydrostatic testing is one of our most common performed tests in our workshop and on-site, and or we perform third party witnessing of pressure tests performed by manufacturers. Pressure tests are conducted in accordance with AS4037, ASME and similar Standards.
We have the ability to record all tests using our certified hydrostatic test recording instruments.
In addition we can calibrate pressure gauges in accordance with AS1349 up to 100MPa and / or supply certified gauges if required.
PNEUMATIC TESTING
Pneumatic testing is generally performed on tubes in condensers or exchangers and on vessels, piping, gas tanks and storage tank floating roof pontoons.
This type of testing is considered dangerous and ABEN have safety procedures in place and strict Safety precautions are mandatory.
These tests are conducted in accordance with AS4037, ASME V, API650 & API653 with the use of certified manometers and gauges.
